I know I included rules with my plot, but I wanted to point out some rules that were posted in the Rules thread located near the bottom of the Park board. I'd like to discuss a few points of some of the rules.
Rules:
1. First, you must join the URPG. That is required. Once you do that and earn some money, stop on by and try this out.
~This is a given and is fine.
2. Read all these rules. Read the Park Role Playing Guide to see what the style will be like. Then go to the Park Entrance thread to start.
~I'm fine with this.
3. In the Park, you will be Role Playing. You may do as much or as little RPing as you want, but this will be a factor in your capture. The better you RP, the higher chance you have at getting the Pokemon you want.
~Doesn't really seem like a rule to me XD. But yeah, fine with this as well.
4. Run Away Skill: 10 times. This is the amount of times you are allowed to run away from a Wild Pokemon. Using Roar, Whirlwind and Teleport count as running away. Once you use up this skill, you are kicked out of the park.
~I don't think using these moves should could as a Run Away. Well, Teleport perhaps, but certainly not Roar or Whirlwind. If your Mon Roars, it's the other Pokemon that flees, and it gets blown away with Whirlwind. Of course a Trainer might try to abuse these moves to abuse a loophole, in which they don't waste Run Away counts and can continue to have encounters, but that's where one of my rules comes into place. A Trainer can only have x number of encounters before they're booted from the Park. So in a way, they're just hurting themselves if they burn through their encounters by Roaring all the time or whatever.
5. Defeating wild Pokemon does not give you any battle experience and does not count against your Run Away Skill.
~This is fine.
6. If you have two or more Pokemon in your party, you may end up doing a Double Battle using two Pokemon to fight against two wild Pokemon. If you run, it counts as using only 1 Run Away Skill. Double battles will happen rarely and this is the only way you can catch two Pokemon at once. Sweet Scent will increase seeing two Pokemon at once.
~This is fine as well.
7. The only battle style that will be in effect is Anime Style. Which means, you can dodge, use two moves at once, block attacks with your attack. Basically, it plays out like the Anime and Fanfics. The Park Ranger will be the main force of the battle.
~No problem with this.
8. When you start a battle, your Pokemon will have the HP they left off with from the previous battle, if there was one. In between battles, you may heal your Pokemon with items or by using our Park Ranger services.
~I'm fine with this too.
9. Your Pokemon can’t use their moves outside of battle unless it is allowed. Think of the game. These moves are called Outside Moves.
*Example: Chansey can use Softboiled outside of battle. Alakazam can only use Recover during battle.
~Now this doesn't sit well with me. I thought we were using the Anime Style here, which doesn't break down moves between Battle and Field (called Outside here). A Pokemon should be able to use any of its moves no matter what situation it's in. It doesn't seem very realistic for a Charizard not to be able to use Fire Blast just because it's not in battle :x.
10. A single Pokeball may only be used once and will not be refunded if you do not catch the Pokemon with it. When a Pokeball fails to catch a Pokemon, it breaks.
~I'm fine with this.
11. You must leave the Park if you fall under any of these categories:
No Pokeballs
All your Pokemon have Fainted.
You use up your Run Away Skills.
You catch a Pokemon.
You don't post for a while without a good reason.
~Or if you have used all your Encounters XD. *Shot*
11. If anyone has a question, please post in the Park FAQ thread or contact one of the Park Owners.
~Fine with this.
12. NO REFUNDS! This is non-negotiable.
~Seems good to me. Sort of like the Underground or the Daycare .
So yeah, there are only a few things I really feel we should discuss. If anyone has anything else to add about these rules are the ones I made with the Plot I sent y'all, post here and we'll discuss it all ^^.
