Hi again people!
I was thinking, if a Ranger is on the messager someone wants to do a Park visit that's faster than a forum one, then why not have that someone post on the site requesting a Ranger(specificly for Messanger), the Ranger accepts, and they do the entire Role Play through the messanger.
However, the Ranger does have to post the entire conversation on the forums later. There could be one big thread meant only for collecting Role Plays done through messanger.
Any comments on this?

I think this is very possible and very logical. The trick would be that this would require a lot of time on both ends. The roleplaying cannot be any easier than what it would be on a forum. The standard must be the same. Thus, such a thing might take a few hours of time.
As a Dungeon Master for Dungeons and Dragons, I have run "encounters" (similar to Scenarios) in a 4 to 5 hour session with a group of people. It's long and tedious, requires a lot of attention, but has the benefit of being very exciting with a lot of interaction between people.
These are just my thoughts and experiences with the idea.

Like what Harry mentioned, this is really logical. But carrying out wise, this could be tedious and troublesome. I mean, it's not like the stats Ref posts in the Messenger. But it'd be a bunch of words, and lol, character limit may even prevent the Ranger from making his/her entire post. We should let it flow in the forums for a while. Or at least, after 3-4 months the Park runs smoothly, we can start thinking about this again^^

I ADORE RP'ing over messenger, but this is somewhat different from your run-of-the-mill RP. As was said, both the Ranger and the Trainer would need several free hours to dedicate to this if the RP was done over something like AIM...unless the Ranger "saves" the Trainer's progress when one of the other has to go. This can be as simple as the Ranger posting (most likely in their stats, as it would be the most convenient place) all of the current chat log. Then, as the RP continues, the Ranger edits the post accordingly. Once the RP has been completed, the Ranger can post it in a thread designed for messenger RPs.
This way, the RP wouldn't have to be done all at once, and may make the overall RP faster to complete.

I like this idea, however, we'd have to make sure that our Rangers are able to stay on for the possbile 1-2 hours it may take in order to do something like this. However, I think this is doable.

Eh, not really that easy if you see it Cress. Each RP takes time, effort and work from both sides to post. Ranger/Trainer wise. It's not like what we battlers/ref post. Something very short, not even a sentence at times. Messengers also have a word limit or some sort, it won't allow you to post the entire thing, and that would be even more trouble some, especially for the Ranger. It's wise to do this forum wise for a while, until better resolutions come of course, we can start thinking of this again.
Man, sometimes, I think people just don't read my posts or something >>[/font]

Hmm...I think Sam is right.
It's better to do this only on the forums for sometime first. If it works well for a few months, then we should come back to this.
Okay, I know I came up with the Park RP though the Messanger idea, but, I have the wright to be wrong. ^^;

But solving it and moving on is what matters the most. Glad I could knock out some sense. Not to worry though, we could make this possible, but not yet. We shall tackle this very soon. In the near future
