As you all know, the idea is for the Park to be one Giagantic Role Play.
However, lots of members in different places of the RP with different Rangers in a single thread will be massively cluttered and hard to deal with since every trainer will be looking for their respective Rangers's post and every Ranger will be looking for the posts of the trainers they are escorting.
Still, we want to make the RP as interactive as possible, so, I vote we make a thread for each trainer outing where that trainer (and trainers who are joining him/her on the expedition) where only he/she and the Ranger can post.
At the same time, we would make a stickied thread on this forum where the Rangers will post anything that would affect other threads.
For example, if in one of the threads a Pokemon used Rain Dance, the Ranger in that thread comes to this forum and writes "Pokemon used Rain Dance". The other Ranges go there before posting, read that, and change the weather in their respective threads to rain.
Example #2, if one of the Pokemon used Earthquake in one thread, the Ranger notifies an Earthquake and the other Rangers, taking note of that, mention that the Earth was shaking a bit on their respective threads.
What do you guys think?

I agree about the need for separate threads. It would be too confusing otherwise.
As much as I would want certain events to affect other threads, I think some might be too confusing. For instance, what if there are 5 people in an area and someone does use Rain Dance? Then someone else uses Sunny Day. Then someone uses Sandstorm. It gets very confusing and with the speed that some people roleplay, this could all happen in a few moments of "Park Time".
I suggest we reserve crossover effects for major changes like an erupting volcano. In addition, we also have Scenarios which allow for teamwork roleplaying.

Well, as I said over AIM, I find this to be a relatively good idea. My main gripe with the massive RP thread is, as was pointed out, the fact that people would have to search through a buttload of posts to find the ones that relate directly to them. The downside is we'd have a lot of separate threads for each duo, and Trainers would be hard-pressed to interact with each other without a group RP thread. It might be a bit more effort than it's worth to create new threads when Trainers come together and such.

Great minds think alike. Harry, and you of course. Lol, I wonder how you guys think so similar like me at times. But yeah, I suggested this idea to Bron and...yeah.
Really glad to see that you brought this up and gained approval from Jess, followed by Harry. But yeah, we really need individual threads per visit from the Trainer. If not, it'd just clutter things up and make things much more difficult and a pain in the butt. Good going Eraizaa. ;]

I think different locations should have an individual hidden thread to list those things that affect that specific Area.
As for moves that would cancel each other...hmm...well, actually, isn't the Ranger Park a semi-protected place which is why a Ranger must escort whoever is going in there to battle?
We shouldn't allow moves that would disrupt the natural balance of things such as weather moves.
That's an option.
Another option would be let each trainer keep their own weather.
Yet another option would be that whatever weather move was written last on the Area's hidden thread would be the one to stay and the Rangers would ask the trainers to not use any more weather moves 'cause it might be disturbing other wild life or something.
Any comments?

I actually like the idea of the Earthquake and Rain thing. =9
My thoughts on HOW the RP's happen. My thinking was that there would be a limit on how many trainers can enter the park at a time. This would make it a bit easier to manage and we can place a time limit on how long their run in the park last. Possibly a period of maybe a week or so?! Then again, the encounter/ Runaway rate still is in effect. So this way people don't feel left out that they're not able to participate and have to wait for people to finish. xD
With that in place, each trainer will have their own separate thread much like how Stories are posted. The Ranger assigned to that person comes in and interacts with them and continues out the RP until a said limit is reached. Or they catch a Pokemon. After which the thread can be locked and more people can enter. xD!
Does that make sense?! =9
